The HP DeskJet GT 5820 Printer boasts an impressive print speed of up to 8 pages per minute (ppm) in ISO mode. However, other printing modes may affect the speed. In color, the print speed is approximately 5 ppm in the same style, but it jumps to 16 ppm in draft mode. It’s worth noting that the duty work cycle for A4 printing is up to 1000 pages per month, but HP recommends a volume of 400 to 800 printed pages.
The print technique utilized by this printer is the HP thermal inkjet print technology, which is augmented by the HP PCL 3 GUI print language. The color printing feature is capable of producing high-quality prints at a resolution of 4800 x 1200 optimized dpi. However, to achieve this level of print quality, the printing job needs to be initiated through a computer setup. It should be noted that the recommended input resolution for color printing is 1200 dpi. As far as black printing is concerned, the ideal resolution is around 1200 x 1200 rendered dpi.
The machine’s display component comprises of a seven-line LCD screen, while its inbuilt processor operates at a speedy 360 Hz. Compatible print cartridges for this device include black and tri-color cartridges in the cyan, yellow, and magenta variations. These cartridges are modelled as HP GT51 and HP GT52 ink cartridges.
