For instance, borderless printing on 10 x 15 cm paper size runs at a rate of 50 seconds per page. Simultaneously, the monochrome print speed is up to 9.0 images per minute (ipm). But color print speed is up to 5.9 ipm at the approximate level. In terms of the ink cartridge configuration, the compatible cartridge modes include the PGI-35 model for black and CLI-36 for color documents.

On the one hand, the black ink tank life is capable of 191 pages of black documents. On the other hand, it can also produce up to 2080 photos from the same black cartridge model. However, the color ink tank life spans 249 pages of standard documents and 111 photo pages. Similarly, the print machine is compatible with plain paper, envelopes, photo paper pro, photo paper, plus double-sided printing.

Other compatible standard paper types include photo paper plus semi-gloss, glossy photo paper, matte photo paper, and high-resolution paper. However, consistent media sizes include A4, B5, A5, legal, letter, envelopes, and photo sizes. Whereas, in terms of the media input capacity, the machine has up to 50 sheets of plain paper.
Also, concerning the media weight, the primary sheet feeder supports a range between 64 and 105 gsm. But when the Canon unique media is in use, the maximum media weight is 273 g/m².
