The NI-MH battery of the printer is designed to connect to the Pocketjet port, enabling users to easily recharge the battery. However, there exists a third and rather unconventional power option that involves tapping into a DC power source via a cigarette car adapter or a wired connection to a vehicle’s 12 Volts DC supply. This option necessitates the use of a power cord that must be inserted into the PocketJet, after which users can activate the vehicle power.
The printer boasts several key switches that make it incredibly user-friendly with just a single push. One of these vital switches is the power button, which allows the user to turn the device on or off at their convenience. To power on the machine from an off state, the user simply presses the main switch button once. Conversely, to switch it off, the user must press the button twice in quick succession. Despite its compact size, the printer also features a manual form feed, which can be activated by holding down the main switch for 1 or 1.5 seconds.
This printer boasts three indicator lights: power, data, and error. Each light has a specific symbol, whether steady, blinking, or changing color to indicate status. The printer is compatible with Windows OS Vista, XP, and 2000 professional. It supports various media types, including cut sheet paper, non-perforated roll paper, and perforated roll paper.
